Overview

FORMAT

The event is a 27 hole stableford championship to be played over 3 days. The field will be restricted to the first 120 entries. Players will be split into two or more mens and women's divisions, depending on the final field size, age and handicap range.

All other prizes and places shall be decided by countback, of the last 18 holes, 9, 6, 3, and then 1. If still tied, the winner shall be decided by lot. If inclement weather affects any round, the Championship Committee may alter the format and the number of rounds played. All prizes will be distributed in accordance with the Amateur status. The Championship Committee may at its discretion amend or add any condition of the Championship.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to make amendments according to the final split of entries, by age, handicap, and gender, with final divisions, advised when entries are closed. Additional entries may be considered outside the listed handicap ranges at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

ENTRIES

  1. Entries shall only be on the official entry form or processed online complete with full payment.
  2. The entry fee is $125 per person for the three-day tournament and includes lunch at the awards function.
  3. PaR nz Limited and/or New Zealand Golf or the host club reserve the right to refuse any entry without being required to give a reason for so refusing.
  4. Entrants must conform with the Rules of Amateur Status, as adopted by the R & A Rules Limited. Entrants must agree and sign the appropriate section on the entry form or agree to the Terms and Conditions in online entry.
  5. The Scoring records of all entries will be reviewed for authenticity through the New Zealand Golf Handicapping website.
  6. It is the player's sole responsibility to ensure their entry has been received prior to the closing date. A players entry has not been officially been received until an official letter or an online confirmation has bee received by the player.
  7. Entry fees will only be refunded in the case of a withdrawal being advised before the closing date. Refunds will only be issued where written advice is received and subject to an administration fee of $25.  Refunds will be issued to those entrants who may be balloted out and do not subsequently compete.
  8. The data contained in the entry form submitted by the entrant is permanently retained by PaR nz Limited and New Zealand Golf Inc. within its database of competitors. From time to time New Zealand Golf may allow a sponsor or golf club to utilise the information obtained.

REGISTRATION

All players must register, in person at the Omanu Golf Clubhouse on Thursday 10 January 2019 from 2.00pm - 4.00pm, or Friday 11 January 2019 from 8.00am - 11.00am. Failure to do so may result in their place being taken by someone else.

NEW GOLF RULES 2019

Please note that the new rules of golf will come into effect on 1st January 2019. These will be published by the R&A and USGA in September 2018. All players will be notified of these new rules prior to the commencement of play.
